When it comes to optimizing building operations, many people first think of functioning services and reduced operating costs. However, according to JLL, the greatest leverage lies with the employees: their costs amount to around €300 per square meter (rent €30, utilities at €3).

The indoor climate has a massive impact on well-being and health and must therefore be actively designed. This requires data and facts. This makes it possible to optimize heating, cooling, ventilation and air humidification.

Reduce the risk of infection

Aerosols (airborne particles) can be contaminated with viruses and pose a risk of infection (e.g. Covid-19). According to the German Federal Environment Agency, CO2 sensors can significantly reduce this risk by providing targeted ventilation at critical levels. Humidity also plays a key role: values between 40 and 60% reduce the survival time of viruses and their floating time and support the immune system.
