LoRa Temperature/Humidity Sensor Solar – coming soon
Energy self-sufficient thanks to solar panel
Enormous wireless range – no comparison with WiFi
Plug & play integration with the LineMetrics platform
Description
The LoRa Temperature/Humidity Sensor Solar is an innovative LoRaWAN sensor for indoor use that measures temperature and humidity. This environmentally friendly device is characterized by its power supply via an organic solar cell and a housing made of biodegradable material, making it a sustainable choice for IoT applications. Removing batteries from the design reduces both the environmental footprint and the maintenance costs of the device. The LoRa Temperature/Humidity Sensor Solar has a Scandinavian design that blends seamlessly into any environment.
Thanks to its ability to function for up to 50 days in the dark, depending on various factors such as the sampling interval and the data transmission rate, the LoRa Temperature/Humidity Sensor Solar is particularly low-maintenance. Its self-adaptation function optimizes power consumption and performance by adapting the transmission rate of the measured data if it remains constant. The sensor is easy to configure and is ideal for applications that require reliable monitoring of indoor climate data without harming the environment.

Measuring points
Data acquisition
- The indoor air temperature (e.g. office, classroom) is transmitted every 15 minutes.
- Value range: 0 – 50°C (resolution: 0.1°C; accuracy: +/- 0.2°C)
Visualization
Visualization / screenshot as line diagram (1-hour resolution):
Temperature profile of a month in a LineMetrics office. As can be seen from the ranges, the majority of the measured values are within the optimum temperature range for an office. The color-coded areas can be configured individually.
Data acquisition
- The relative humidity indoors is transmitted every 15 minutes.
- Value range: 0 – 85% RH (resolution: 0.1% RH; accuracy: +/- 2% RH)
Visualization
Relative humidity curve over an entire month in a LineMetrics office.

Plug & Play integration into the overall system
It’s easy to obtain your first measurement data in just a few minutes thanks to the modular system – from the sensor to the cloud.
Your benefits with the LineMetrics platform
All-in-one: A complete system for room monitoring
1. Record measured values
The energy self-sufficient wireless sensor can be installed in any room. It reliably records all values and transmits them via LoRa.
2. transmit measurement data
The LoRa wireless gateway creates a wireless network for up to 1,000 sensors. The collected measurement data is transmitted to the cloud via mobile radio.
3. evaluate and alert
All sensors are managed and all measurement data stored in the cloud. Analyses, alerts and data integration via API are easily possible.
What is behind it? Find out what LineMetrics can do to help you easily obtain the measurement data you need.
Developing and operating an IoT-based monitoring solution is more complex than many people think. Here is just a small excerpt of what LineMetrics can do for you in the background so that you can easily and reliably obtain the measurement data you need:
- Selection of international suppliers, supply chain management and price negotiations
- Selection and testing of individual hardware devices, hardware quality management
- Device and firmware management
- Optimizations in terms of radio range and battery life
- Database management
- Connectivity management (SIM cards)
- Security and encryption, including updates
- Creation of instructions and support during rollout
- 24/7 monitoring of the entire solution, support in the event of problems
Cloud platform: Analyze and process measured values
The LineMetrics Cloud allows you to create individual dashboards on which you can keep an eye on the data that is most important to you. Measured values can be displayed, combined and colored in the form of bars, curves, dial gauges, etc. This screenshot shows past and current measured values of the sensor:
Warning messages can be created for individual ranges/limit values and provided with a trigger delay. This means that no warning is sent if critical values are only briefly exceeded. A second condition for triggering a warning can also be configured.
Alerts can be sent by e-mail (see screenshot) or SMS. The recipient, subject and message can be easily configured individually.
Plug & play: obtain measurement data quickly and easily (< 3 minutes!)
The LineMetrics complete solution enables the solution to be commissioned via plug & play – without technicians, IT department, cable laying and network access. We will send you all the hardware with all accessories and simple commissioning instructions. The first measurement data can be analyzed in the LineMetrics Cloud within a few minutes. For questions, problems and tips, we have set up a comprehensive service center for you and can of course also be contacted personally at any time.
Video shows commissioning of the LoRa CO2 sensor – the procedure for the indoor sensor is the same.
