Description
The LoRa temperature/humidity sensor IP65 detects temperature and humidity in industrial environments, cold rooms and outdoor areas. Its high measuring accuracy, wide measuring range and robust design make it flexible to use in a wide range of application scenarios. The transmission of measured values at 5-minute intervals enables a rapid response to critical values.
The sensor also has a long radio range inside buildings and a battery life of up to 5 years. Thanks to a special transmission protocol, maximum availability of the measured values (>99%) can be achieved even at long ranges and in challenging environments. The sensor is therefore also suitable for data acquisition as part of processes and quality tools that require auditing (e.g. HACCP). With the help of LoRa wireless technology, significantly better penetration of cold rooms and storeys , for example, can be achieved than with conventional technologies.
Based on many years of experience and internal laboratory tests, LineMetrics supplies the sensor in two versions: A standard version with alkaline batteries (LRD-RS186-AL) and a version optimized for particularly low temperatures with lithium batteries (LRD-RS186-LI).

Measuring points
Data acquisition
- The air temperature in harsh environments (outdoor, production, cold room, …) is recorded and transmitted every 5 minutes.
- Value range: -10° to +85 °C (+-0.4°C) / -40° to 125°C (+/- 1.1°C)

Data acquisition
- The relative humidity in harsh environments (outdoor, production, cold room, …) is recorded and transmitted every 5 minutes.
- The optimum operating range of the sensor is between 20% and 80% RH. Outside this area, make sure that the environment is non-condensing.
- Value range: 0 – 80% RH (+-3%) / 80 – 100% RH (+/- 4.5%)

1. Record temperature & LF
The battery-operated wireless sensor can be installed anywhere, e.g. in cold storage rooms. It reliably records all values and transmits them via LoRa.
2. transmit measurement data
The LoRa wireless gateway creates a wireless network for up to 1,000 sensors. The collected measurement data is transmitted to the cloud via mobile radio.
3. evaluate and alert
All sensors are managed and all measurement data stored in the cloud. Analyses, alerts and data integration via API are easily possible.

The LineMetrics Cloud allows you to create individual dashboards on which you can keep an eye on the data that is most important to you. Measured values can be displayed, combined and colored in the form of bars, curves, dial gauges, etc. This screenshot shows past and current measured values of the sensor:
Warning messages can be created for individual ranges/limit values and provided with a trigger delay. This means that no warning is sent if critical values are only briefly exceeded. A second condition for triggering a warning can also be configured.
Alerts can be sent by e-mail (see screenshot) or SMS. The recipient, subject and message can be easily configured individually.
