LoRa radio module CMi4140 for Kamstrup Multical 403/603/803
Description
The LoRa radio module CMi4140 is a cost-effective modem for meter connectivity that is installed in Kamstrup MULTICAL® 403, 603 and 803 heat and cooling meters. This module uses an energy-efficient scheme to transfer meter data to the LineMetrics webapp. Data is transmitted securely using end-to-end encryption.
The main features of the CMi4140 include:
- Long battery life: Thanks to the EcoMode function, the module achieves a battery life of at least 11 years.
- Simple installation: The module can be easily installed in existing or new meters and automatically connects to the LoRaWAN network.
- Safe commissioning: The wireless modules are sent to the end customer pre-configured to minimize installation work.
The meter data is visualized in the LineMetrics web app and can be analysed there.

The battery-operated wireless sensor can be installed flexibly. It reliably records the values and transmits them via LoRa.

The LoRa wireless gateway creates a wireless network for up to 1,000 sensors. The collected measurement data is transmitted to the cloud via mobile radio.

The LineMetrics Cloud allows you to create individual dashboards on which you can keep an eye on the data that is most important to you. Measured values can be displayed, combined and colored in the form of bars, curves, dial gauges, etc. This screenshot shows past and current measured values of the sensor:
Warning messages can be created for individual ranges/limit values and provided with a trigger delay. This means that no warning is sent if critical values are only briefly exceeded. A second condition for triggering a warning can also be configured.
Alerts can be sent by e-mail (see screenshot) or SMS. The recipient, subject and message can be easily configured individually.
