Evolve Plus People Counter | EVO-PPL-CNT
LoRa indoor personal frequency counter
Records how many people enter/leave a room and calculates the current number of people present
Enormous wireless range – no comparison with WiFi
Low maintenance due to long battery life
Plug & play integration with the LineMetrics platform
Description
The LoRa indoor people frequency counter anonymously records the number and direction of people crossing a light barrier and transmits these values at 15-minute intervals. This makes it possible to record how many people enter or leave a room in a quarter of an hour (or the difference between the two) and are present in the room. This data can be used to easily monitor and evaluate visitor flows and usage intensity.
The sensor also has a long radio range inside buildings and a battery life of around one year. Thanks to a special transmission protocol, maximum availability of the measured values (>99%) can be achieved even at long ranges and in challenging environments. Thanks to its simple design, the sensor can be discreetly installed indoors at any entrance, exit or passageway.

Battery-operated with approx. one year runtime
LoRa radio is very energy efficient. Depending on the quality of the wireless connection, the batteries will last for many years.
Plug & Play integration into the overall system
It’s easy to obtain your first measurement data in just a few minutes thanks to the modular system – from the sensor to the cloud.
Your benefits with the LineMetrics platform
All-in-one: A complete system for room monitoring
1. Record the frequency of people
The battery-operated wireless sensor can be installed at any entrance, exit or passageway. It reliably records all values and transmits them via LoRa.
2. transmit measurement data
The LoRa wireless gateway creates a wireless network for up to 1,000 sensors. The collected measurement data is transmitted to the cloud via mobile radio.
3. evaluate and alert
All sensors are managed and all measurement data stored in the cloud. Analyses, alerts and data integration via API are easily possible.
What is behind it? Find out what LineMetrics can do to help you easily obtain the measurement data you need.
Developing and operating an IoT-based monitoring solution is more complex than many people think. Here is just a small excerpt of what LineMetrics can do for you in the background so that you can easily and reliably obtain the measurement data you need:
- Selection of international suppliers, supply chain management and price negotiations
- Selection and testing of individual hardware devices, hardware quality management
- Device and firmware management
- Optimizations in terms of radio range and battery life
- Database management
- Connectivity management (SIM cards)
- Security and encryption, including updates
- Creation of instructions and support during rollout
- 24/7 monitoring of the entire solution, support in the event of problems
Cloud platform: Analyze and process measured values
The LineMetrics Cloud allows you to create individual dashboards on which you can keep an eye on the data that is most important to you. Measured values can be displayed, combined and colored in the form of bars, curves, dial gauges, etc. This screenshot shows past and current measured values of the sensor:
Warning messages can be created for individual ranges/limit values and provided with a trigger delay. This means that no warning is sent if critical values are only briefly exceeded. A second condition for triggering a warning can also be configured.
Alerts can be sent by e-mail (see screenshot) or SMS. The recipient, subject and message can be easily configured individually.
Plug & play: obtain measurement data quickly and easily (< 3 minutes!)
The LineMetrics complete solution enables the solution to be commissioned via plug & play – without technicians, IT department, cable laying and network access. We will send you all the hardware with all accessories and simple commissioning instructions. The first measurement data can be analyzed in the LineMetrics Cloud within a few minutes. For questions, problems and tips, we have set up a comprehensive service center for you and can of course also be contacted personally at any time.
